Ingredients
– 3 medium apples, cut into wedges
– 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
– 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
– 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
– 1 cup heavy cream
– 1/4 cup light brown sugar
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
1. – Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
2. – In a large bowl, toss the apple wedges with the melted butter, granulated sugar, and cinnamon until evenly coated.
3. – Arrange the apple wedges in a single layer in the air fryer basket and cook for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and crispy.
4. – While the apples are cooking, make the caramel whipped cream. In a medium bowl, beat the heavy cream with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form.
5. – Add the brown sugar and vanilla extract and beat until well combined.
6. – Serve the air-fried apple wedges warm, with the caramel whipped cream sauce for dipping.
Notes
For a sweeter sauce, you can increase the brown sugar to 1/3 cup. Store any leftover sauce in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
