Indulge in the ultimate comfort food with this easy, mouthwatering Apple Crisp Recipe with Oats. Featuring a golden, buttery oat topping over a sweet, cinnamon-spiced apple filling, this classic dessert is perfect for cozy nights, holiday gatherings, or anytime you crave a taste of nostalgia.

Ingredients

– 6 cups peeled and sliced Granny Smith apples

– 1 cup rolled oats

– 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

– 1/2 cup brown sugar

– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

– 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

– 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

– 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

1. – Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

2. – In a large bowl, toss the sliced apples with 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon until well coated.

3. – In a separate bowl, combine the rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, remaining 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Cut in the softened butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

4. – Transfer the cinnamon-spiced apples to a 9-inch baking dish. Sprinkle the oat topping evenly over the apples.

5. – Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the topping is golden brown.

6. – Allow the apple crisp to cool for 10-15 minutes before serving. Serve warm, optionally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Notes

For a more indulgent treat, try adding a drizzle of caramel sauce or a sprinkle of chopped pecans on top. This apple crisp can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
