Description

Indulge in the cozy, comforting flavors of this easy Apple Crisp made with the convenience of canned apple pie filling. The warm, cinnamon-spiced apple filling is topped with a buttery, crumbly topping for the perfect balance of textures.

Ingredients

– 1 (21 oz) can apple pie filling

– 1 cup all-purpose flour

– 1 cup old-fashioned oats

– 3/4 cup brown sugar

– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

– 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

– 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

– 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

1. – Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.

2. – Spread the canned apple pie filling evenly into the prepared baking dish.

3. – In a medium bowl, combine the flour, oats, brown sugar, melted butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Mix until well combined and crumbly.

4. – Sprinkle the oat crumble topping evenly over the apple filling.

5. – Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.

6. – Let the apple crisp cool for 10-15 minutes before serving. Enjoy warm, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, if desired.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use a mix of Honeycrisp, Gala, or Fuji apples in the filling instead of canned. You can also add a tablespoon of lemon juice to the filling for a touch of brightness. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
