Description

Indulge in this heavenly Baked Brie with Caramelized Apples, a decadent and easy-to-make appetizer that’s perfect for any occasion. The creamy, melted brie is topped with sweet, cinnamon-spiced caramelized apples, creating a mouthwatering combination that will have your guests coming back for more.

Ingredients

– 1 (8 oz) wheel of brie cheese

– 2 apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced

– 2 tbsp unsalted butter

– 1/4 cup brown sugar

– 1 tsp ground cinnamon

– 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg

– 1 tbsp fresh thyme leaves, plus more for garnish

– Crackers, bread, or sliced baguette, for serving

Instructions

1. 1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. 2. Place the brie wheel in a small oven-safe baking dish or on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

3. 3. In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the sliced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the apples are softened and caramelized, about 5-7 minutes.

4. 4. Spoon the caramelized apple mixture over the top of the brie.

5. 5. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the brie is warm and softened.

6. 6. Garnish with fresh thyme leaves and serve immediately with crackers, bread, or sliced baguette.

Notes

For a more decadent twist, you can drizzle the baked brie with a bit of honey or maple syrup before serving. This dish can also be enjoyed as a dessert.
