Description

Indulge in the irresistible flavors of Baked Maple Donut Bars – a guilt-free twist on a classic treat. These soft, crumbly bars are bursting with the warm, comforting taste of maple and are perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth.

Ingredients

– 2 cups all-purpose flour

– 1 teaspoon baking powder

– 1/2 teaspoon salt

– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

– 3/4 cup granulated sugar

– 2 large eggs

– 1/3 cup pure maple syrup

– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

– 1/2 cup maple glaze (optional)

Instructions

1. 1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease an 8×8-inch baking pan.

2. 2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

3. 3. In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the maple syrup and vanilla.

4. 4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.

5. 5. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.

6. 6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

7. 7. Allow the bars to cool completely, then drizzle with maple glaze if desired.

Notes

For a thicker glaze, add a bit more maple syrup to the powdered sugar. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
