Ingredients
– 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
– 1 cup granulated sugar
– 1 cup maple syrup
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 2 cups chopped mixed nuts (such as pecans, walnuts, and almonds)
Instructions
1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a medium saucepan, combine the butter, sugar, maple syrup, and salt. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture reaches 240°F on a candy thermometer.
3. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the chopped nuts.
4. Carefully pour the hot mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, spreading it out into an even layer.
5. Allow the Brach’s Maple Nut Goodies to cool completely, then break or cut them into desired bite-sized pieces.
6. Store the candies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
Notes
For a chunkier texture, coarsely chop the nuts before adding them to the maple mixture. You can also experiment with different nut combinations, such as all pecans or a mix of almonds and walnuts.
