Description

Bubba’s Crab Stew is a rich and creamy seafood dish that’s perfect for a cozy evening. This easy-to-make recipe features tender chunks of crab meat simmered in a flavorful broth, creating a comforting and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

– 1 pound lump crab meat

– 1 onion, diced

– 2 celery stalks, diced

– 3 garlic cloves, minced

– 2 cups chicken broth

– 1 cup heavy cream

– 2 tablespoons butter

– 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning

– 1/2 teaspoon paprika

– 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

– Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

1. In a large pot or Dutch oven, melt the butter over medium heat.

2. Add the diced onion and celery, and sauté for 5-7 minutes until softened.

3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute, until fragrant.

4. Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, and bring the mixture to a simmer.

5. Gently fold in the lump crab meat, being careful not to break it up.

6. Season with Old Bay seasoning, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper to taste.

7. Reduce the heat to low and let the stew simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the flavors have melded and the stew has thickened slightly.

8. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired. Enjoy with crusty bread.

Notes

For a richer stew, you can add an extra 1/2 cup of heavy cream. You can also substitute half-and-half or milk for a lighter version. If you prefer a spicier stew, increase the amount of cayenne pepper.
