Ingredients
– 1 sheet pre-made pie dough
– 3 ripe pears, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
– 1/2 cup granulated sugar
– 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
– 1 teaspoon ground cardamom
– 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
– 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
– 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
– 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
1. 1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. 2. In a large bowl, combine the sliced pears, sugar, cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, cloves, and black pepper. Toss to coat the pears evenly.
3. 3. Unroll the pie dough and place it in a 9-inch tart pan with a removable bottom. Gently press the dough into the pan, trimming any excess.
4. 4. Arrange the spiced pear slices in a circular pattern, overlapping slightly, in the prepared tart crust.
5. 5. Brush the pears and the edge of the tart crust with the melted butter.
6. 6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the pears are tender.
7. 7. Remove from the oven and let cool for at least 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
