Description

Indulge in this savory and cheesy Cheddar Bacon Dutch Baby – a fluffy, golden pancake-like dish loaded with melted cheddar cheese and crispy bacon pieces. Perfect for a quick and satisfying brunch or breakfast!

Ingredients

– 3 large eggs

– 1 cup whole milk

– 1 cup all-purpose flour

– 1/2 teaspoon salt

– 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

– 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

– 6 slices cooked bacon, crumbled

Instructions

1. 1. Preheat oven to 425°F. Place a 10-inch oven-safe skillet or cast-iron pan in the oven while it preheats.

2. 2. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk until well combined. Add the flour, salt, and pepper, and whisk until the batter is smooth and lump-free.

3. 3. Carefully remove the hot skillet from the oven and add 1 tablespoon of butter, swirling to coat the bottom and sides.

4. 4. Pour the batter into the hot skillet and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon on top.

5. 5. Bake for 18-22 minutes, or until the Dutch Baby is puffed and golden brown.

6. 6. Serve immediately, garnished with additional bacon, chopped chives, or a dusting of powdered sugar, if desired.

Notes

For best results, use room temperature ingredients. You can also experiment with different cheese varieties or add-ins like diced ham or caramelized onions.
