Indulge in the comforting flavors of French toast with these irresistibly Chewy French Toast Cookies. Soft, pillowy, and bursting with cinnamon-sugar goodness, these easy-to-make cookies are a delightful treat for breakfast, dessert, or anytime.

Ingredients

– 2 cups all-purpose flour

– 1 teaspoon baking powder

– 1/2 teaspoon salt

– 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

– 1 cup granulated sugar

– 1 large egg

– 1/4 cup milk

– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

1. 1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. 2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Set aside.

3. 3. In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

4. 4. Beat in the egg, milk, and vanilla extract until well combined.

5. 5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a soft dough forms.

6. 6. Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

7. 7. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the centers are still slightly soft.

8. 8. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For a decorative touch, you can roll the dough balls in a mixture of cinnamon and sugar before baking. These cookies can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
