Description

Ingredients

– 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter

– 1 cup light brown sugar

– 1/2 cup light corn syrup

– 1/4 cup whiskey

– 1 tsp sea salt

– 12 oz milk chocolate, chopped

– 1 cup mini marshmallows

– 8 slices cooked bacon, crumbled


Instructions

1. 1. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. 2. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the brown sugar and corn syrup. Bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.

3. 3. Remove from heat and carefully stir in the whiskey and salt. Pour the caramel mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, spreading it out into an even layer.

4. 4. Sprinkle the chopped chocolate over the hot caramel and let it sit for 2-3 minutes to melt. Use an offset spatula to spread the melted chocolate into an even layer.

5. 5. Sprinkle the mini marshmallows and crumbled bacon over the top, pressing them gently into the chocolate.

6. 6. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until completely set.

7. 7. Break or cut the bark into pieces and enjoy!

Notes

For a sweeter version, use dark chocolate instead of milk chocolate. You can also substitute different nuts or toppings, like pecans or crushed pretzels, in place of the bacon.
