Ingredients

– 1 cup unsalted butter

– 1 cup packed light brown sugar

– 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the brown sugar and cinnamon, and stir until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture is bubbling, about 5 minutes.

3. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla. Pour the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, spreading it evenly.

4. Allow to cool completely, then break the toffee into bite-sized pieces.

5. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.

Notes

For a more indulgent treat, drizzle the cooled toffee with melted chocolate. You can also sprinkle with additional cinnamon or chopped nuts.
