This quick and easy Cranberry Sauce recipe is the perfect holiday side dish. Made with just a few simple ingredients, it’s bursting with tart and sweet flavor that perfectly complements roasted meats, such as turkey or ham.
Ingredients
– 12 oz fresh or frozen cranberries
– 1 cup granulated sugar
– 1/2 cup orange juice
– 1 cinnamon stick
Instructions
1. – In a medium saucepan, combine the cranberries, sugar, and orange juice.
2. – Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally.
3. – Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cranberries have burst and the sauce has thickened.
4. – Remove the cinnamon stick and let the sauce cool slightly before serving.
Notes
– For a smoother texture, use a potato masher or the back of a spoon to gently mash some of the cranberries as the sauce simmers.
– Adjust the sweetness to your taste by adding more or less sugar.
– The sauce can be made up to 5 days in advance and stored in the refrigerator.
