Ingredients

– 1 pound ground beef

– 1 onion, diced

– 3 cloves garlic, minced

– 1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes

– 1 cup heavy cream

– 1 teaspoon dried oregano

– 1 teaspoon dried basil

– Salt and pepper to taste

– 2 cups uncooked orzo pasta

– 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

– Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

– In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat, breaking it up as it cooks, until no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.

– Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

– Pour in the canned diced tomatoes and heavy cream. Stir in the dried oregano and basil, and season with salt and pepper to taste.

– Bring the sauce to a simmer and let it cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.

– Meanwhile, cook the orzo pasta according to package instructions. Drain and add the cooked orzo to the skillet with the sauce.

– Stir to combine and let the pasta heat through, about 2-3 minutes.

– Serve the Creamy Tomato Sauce Ground Beef Orzo hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil leaves.
