Ingredients
– 3 lbs Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-inch chunks
– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cubed
– 1 cup milk
– 1 tsp garlic powder
– 1 tsp salt
– 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
1. – Place the potato chunks in a slow cooker and add the butter, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
2. – Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours, or until the potatoes are very tender.
3. – Use a potato masher or electric hand mixer to mash the potatoes until smooth and creamy.
4. – Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
5. – Serve hot, garnished with chopped chives or parsley if desired.
Notes
– For extra creamy potatoes, add an additional 1/4 cup of milk during the mashing process.
– Swap out the milk for heavy cream or half-and-half for an even richer texture.
