Description

Indulge in the bold, smoky-sweet flavors of these Filipino Pork BBQ Skewers. Tender pork is marinated in a tangy-sweet sauce, then grilled to caramelized perfection for a quick and easy appetizer that’s perfect for parties or a cozy night in.

Ingredients

– 1 pound pork tenderloin, cut into 1-inch cubes

– 1/4 cup soy sauce

– 1/4 cup brown sugar

– 3 cloves garlic, minced

– 1 tablespoon grated ginger

– 1 teaspoon ground black pepper

– 1/4 cup pineapple juice

– Wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes

Instructions

1. In a large bowl, combine the pork, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and black pepper. Toss to coat the pork evenly. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours.

2. Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.

3. Thread the marinated pork cubes onto the soaked wooden skewers, leaving a small gap between each piece.

4. Grill the skewers for 2-3 minutes per side, or until the pork is cooked through and lightly charred.

5. Serve the Filipino Pork BBQ Skewers warm, with pineapple juice drizzled over the top if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can add a few tablespoons of the marinade to the pineapple juice. This dish pairs well with steamed rice, fresh pineapple, and a crisp salad.
