Ingredients
– 1 store-bought flatbread or naan
– 4 oz creamy goat cheese
– 2 medium apples, cored and sliced
– 2 tbsp olive oil
– 1 tsp ground cinnamon
– 2 tbsp honey
– 1 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions
1. 1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. 2. In a baking sheet, toss the apple slices with 1 tbsp of olive oil and a pinch of salt.
3. 3. Roast the apples for 15-20 minutes, or until they’re tender and lightly caramelized. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
4. 4. In a small bowl, mix the remaining 1 tbsp of olive oil with the cinnamon and honey to create a cinnamon drizzle.
5. 5. Spread the goat cheese evenly over the flatbread.
6. 6. Arrange the roasted apple slices in a single layer over the goat cheese.
7. 7. Drizzle the cinnamon-honey mixture over the top of the flatbread.
8. 8. Bake the flatbread for 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the edges are lightly golden.
9. 9. Remove from the oven, drizzle with a touch of lemon juice, and serve warm.
Notes
For a crispier flatbread, you can bake it for a few minutes before adding the toppings. Feel free to experiment with different types of apples or add a sprinkle of chopped walnuts or pecans for extra flavor and crunch.
