Description

Indulge in the irresistible combination of a crisp golden crust, fresh rosemary, and roasted garlic in these homemade focaccia muffins. Soft and fluffy on the inside, these savory treats are perfect for snacking, serving with soups, or pairing with your favorite meals.

Ingredients

– 3 cups (375g) all-purpose flour

– 1 teaspoon salt

– 1 teaspoon active dry yeast

– 1 1/4 cups (295ml) warm water

– 3 tablespoons (45ml) olive oil, plus more for drizzling

– 3 cloves garlic, minced

– 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped

Instructions

1. 1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt, and yeast. Add the warm water and 3 tablespoons of olive oil, and mix until a shaggy dough forms.

2. 2. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes, until the dough is smooth and elastic.

3. 3. Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

4. 4. Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball and place them in a greased 12-cup muffin tin.

5. 5. Cover the muffin tin and let the dough rise for an additional 30 minutes.

6. 6. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

7. 7. Uncover the muffin tin and use your fingers to gently dimple the top of each muffin, creating a rough, rustic surface.

8. 8. Drizzle the muffins with a little olive oil and sprinkle with the minced garlic and chopped rosemary.

9. 9. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until the muffins are golden brown and crispy on the outside.

10. 10. Serve the Golden Crust Garlic Rosemary Focaccia Muffins warm, with additional olive oil for dipping if desired.

Notes

For maximum flavor, use fresh, high-quality rosemary and garlic. You can also experiment with different herb and spice combinations to customize the muffins to your taste.
