Description

Gravy-Stuffed Stuffing Muffins are a delightful twist on a classic holiday side dish. These muffins are made with a savory stuffing mixture, then filled with a rich and creamy gravy for an extra layer of flavor.

Ingredients

– 8 cups cubed bread

– 1 onion, diced

– 2 celery stalks, diced

– 4 tablespoons unsalted butter

– 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

– 1 teaspoon dried sage

– 1 teaspoon dried thyme

– 1 cup chicken or turkey gravy

– Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. 1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 12-cup muffin tin.

2. 2. In a large bowl, combine the cubed bread, onion, celery, butter, parsley, sage, and thyme. Season with salt and pepper.

3. 3. Spoon the stuffing mixture evenly into the prepared muffin cups, pressing it down gently.

4. 4. Use a small spoon to create a well in the center of each muffin, then fill the wells with the gravy.

5. 5. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the muffins are golden brown and the gravy is bubbly.

6. 6. Let the muffins cool in the tin for 5 minutes before removing them.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use homemade gravy. You can also experiment with different herbs and seasonings in the stuffing. These muffins can be made ahead and reheated before serving.
