Description

This Guinness Chocolate Cake with Baileys Frosting is a decadent and indulgent dessert that combines the deep, roasted flavors of Guinness stout with the creamy richness of Baileys Irish Cream. The result is a moist and fudgy cake that is perfectly complemented by the smooth and luscious frosting.

Ingredients

– 2 cups all-purpose flour

– 2 cups granulated sugar

– 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

– 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda

– 1/2 teaspoon salt

– 1 cup Guinness stout

– 1/2 cup vegetable oil

– 2 large eggs

– 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

– 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

– 4 cups powdered sugar

– 1/4 cup Baileys Irish Cream

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round baking pan.

2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.

3. In a separate bowl, combine the Guinness, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix well.

4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.

5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

6. Allow the cake to cool completely on a wire rack before frosting.

7. In a large bowl, beat the softened butter with an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing well after each addition.

8. Add the Baileys Irish Cream and continue mixing until the frosting is smooth and creamy.

9. Spread the Baileys frosting evenly over the top and sides of the cooled cake.

10. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

For best results, use room temperature ingredients. The cake can be made a day in advance and stored in an airtight container. The frosting can also be made a day in advance and refrigerated until ready to use.
