Juicy and flavorful Healthy Chicken Burgers with a refreshing Caesar twist – a delightful lightened-up take on a classic burger that’s perfect for a quick and nutritious weeknight meal.
Ingredients
– 1 lb ground chicken
– 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
– 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
– 2 tbsp Caesar dressing
– 1 tsp dried oregano
– 1/2 tsp garlic powder
– 1/4 tsp salt
– 1/4 tsp black pepper
– 4 Romaine lettuce leaves
– 4 whole wheat burger buns
Instructions
1. 1. In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, Caesar dressing, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well incorporated.
2. 2. Divide the chicken mixture into 4 equal portions and form them into patties, about 4 inches wide and 1/2 inch thick.
3. 3. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken burgers for 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through and no longer pink in the center.
4. 4. Place the cooked chicken burgers on the buns and top with a Romaine lettuce leaf.
5. 5. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
– For a creamier Caesar flavor, add an extra 1-2 tbsp of Caesar dressing to the patty mixture.
– Experiment with different toppings like sliced tomato, avocado, or onion.
– These burgers can also be baked in the oven at 400°F for 18-20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
