Description

Homemade Orange Candy is a quick and easy no-bake treat that’s bursting with fresh citrus flavor. Made with just a few simple ingredients, this candy is perfect for gifting, snacking, or adding to dessert boards.

Ingredients

– 2 cups white granulated sugar

– 1/2 cup light corn syrup

– 1/2 cup water

– 2 tablespoons freshly grated orange zest

Instructions

1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

2. In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar, corn syrup, and water. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring constantly.

3. Once the mixture reaches 300°F on a candy thermometer, remove from heat and quickly stir in the orange zest.

4. Carefully pour the hot candy mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, spreading it out to an even thickness.

5. Allow the candy to cool completely, then break it into bite-sized pieces.

6. Store the homemade orange candy in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.

Notes

For best results, use fresh, fragrant oranges to maximize the citrus flavor. You can also experiment with different zest-to-sugar ratios to adjust the sweetness and orange flavor to your preference.
