Ingredients

4lb of beef brisket.

tablespoons of olive oil.

Marinade:

2 teaspoons of chili powder

1 teaspoon of smoked paprika

1 teaspoon of garlic powder

1 tablespoon of mustard powder

1/4 teaspoons of cayenne pepper

1 1/2 teaspoon cumin ground

1 teaspoon black pepper ground

2 teaspoons of salt

 

Fresh brisket

BBQ Sauce:

1 cup of Barbecue sauce

1 cup of ketchup

1/4 cup of honey

1 tablespoon of apple vinegar

3 cloves garlic sliced

1/4 cup of brown sugar

1 teaspoon of liquid smoke

1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce

1/2 cup of chicken broth

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1

In a medium bowl combine all the seasonings together and whisk well to mix.

Step 2

Rub the brisket with a mixture of seasonings.

Step 3

The same process with the BBQ sauce; combine all ingredients together in a medium bowl and whisk them well.

Step 4

Add the oil and set your instant pot on the high level of saute function.

Step 5

Sear the brisket on all sides for about 4 minutes per side.

Step 6

Pour the sauce to the entire brisket and close the lid. Adjust your instant pot to the manual high pressure and set the timer for 75 minutes.

Step 7

When the time over, wait until the pressure release naturally for about 15 minutes.

Step 8

Remove the brisket from your instant pot with the tongs and transfer it to a side plate with covering for about 15 minutes after slicing.

Step 9

Set your instant pot to the saute function to simmer the leftover sauce and reduce it and season with salt and chili as your desire.

Step 10

Slice the brisket and served with sauce and one of the suggested side dishes.
