Instant pot chicken marsala recipe is one of my favorite dishes that I have made with my instant pot and I am so excited to share with you this most popular chicken recipe.

Chicken Marsala is an American/Italian dish made with juicy chicken sliced cooked in mushroom and Marsala wine. This flavorful and creamy dish can get it quickly by cooking in the Instant Pot.

how to make instant pot chicken marsala?

-Instant pot chicken marsala ingredient:

-chicken breasts

-Flour

-salt and pepper

-Olive oil

– sliced mushrooms

-Onion

-Garlic

-Marsala wine

-chopped parsley

-Browning chicken sliced in the instant pot:

– In a small bowl, Season the flour with salt and pepper and then use to coat the chicken breasts.

– Heat the oil in your instant pot and fry the chicken breasts until they are browned on both sides. Remove the chicken from the instant pot.

– Add the sliced mushrooms, onion and garlic to the instant pot and saute until fragrant to simmer for a few minutes.

-Make the marsala sauce:

Add chicken and Marsala wine to the other ingredients in your instant pot. Mix to combine

– Cover the pot, select “saute” function and set the time of cooking to 10 min.

– Once the cooking time is done, remove chicken sliced onto a plate and spoon the sauce over chicken and then sprinkle with chopped parsley to serve.

IF I DON’T HAVE AN instant pot:

Firstly, coat the chicken breast by the flour that season with salt and pepper. Then fry the chicken breasts until they are browned on both sides into a large frying pan. After that remove the chicken to a bowl while you make the sauce of sliced mushrooms and marsala wine in another skillet. finally, Place the chicken on to a serving dish, pour over the sauce after 25 min of cooking.

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1

in a small bowl, Season the flour with salt and pepper and then use to coat the chicken breasts.

Step 2

Select the “sauté” function on the instant pot, adjust the heat and when the inner pot hot, add 2 tablespoons of oil into the pot. Fry the chicken breasts until they are browned on both sides.

Step 3

Remove the chicken from the instant pot to a plate. Add the sliced mushrooms, onion and garlic to the instant pot and sauté until fragrant to simmer for 2 minutes.

Step 4

Add chicken to the other ingredients in your instant pot, mix to combine, cover the pot and Close pressure release valve.

Step 5

Set the instant pot on Manual/Pressure setting and cook for 10 minutes on high pressure. Release the pressure naturally for 10 minutes, before opening the lid. Open the lid and remove the chicken breasts to a plate. Keep them warm.

Step 6

Turn the setting of the instant pot to “SAUTE”, add Marsala wine to the other ingredients in your instant pot, mix to combine and cook for 3 min.

Step 7

Stir in the mixture and cook for an additional 5 minutes or until the sauce is slightly thickened.

Step 8

Spoon the sauce over chicken, sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve warm with mashed potatoes, rice or noodles.
