Description

This Jalapeño Popper Football Cheese Ball is a crowd-pleasing, restaurant-quality appetizer that’s ready in just 5 minutes. Creamy, spicy, and perfectly shaped like a football, it’s the ultimate game day or party snack.

Ingredients

– 2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened

– 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

– 1/2 cup diced jalapeños, seeds and membranes removed (about 3-4 jalapeños)

– 1 teaspoon garlic powder

– 1 teaspoon onion powder

– 1 cup panko breadcrumbs

Instructions

1. In a large bowl, use a hand mixer to beat the cream cheese until smooth and creamy.

2. Add the shredded cheddar cheese, diced jalapeños, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until well combined.

3. Scoop the cheese mixture onto a large piece of plastic wrap and shape it into a football shape. Wrap the plastic wrap around the cheese ball and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

4. Remove the cheese ball from the fridge and unwrap. Roll the cheese ball in the panko breadcrumbs until evenly coated.

5. Serve the Jalapeño Popper Football Cheese Ball with crackers, breadsticks, and fresh vegetables for dipping.

Notes

For a spicier cheese ball, leave some of the jalapeño seeds and membranes. For a milder version, use fewer jalapeños. The cheese ball can be made ahead of time and refrigerated for up to 3 days.
