Description

These irresistible Jalapeno Popper Twists combine the classic flavors of jalapeno poppers in a fun, bite-sized twist. Perfectly crispy on the outside and oozing with melted cheese and spicy jalapenos on the inside, these appetizers are sure to be a hit at your next party or gathering.

Ingredients

– 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened

– 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

– 2 tablespoons chopped fresh jalapeños, seeds and membranes removed for less heat

– 1 (8 oz) can crescent roll dough

– 1 tablespoon butter, melted

– 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. In a medium bowl, mix together the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and chopped jalapeños until well combined.

3. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate into 8 triangles. Place 1-2 tablespoons of the cheese mixture onto the wide end of each triangle.

4. Roll the dough up from the wide end to the narrow end, forming a twist. Place the twists seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.

5. Brush the tops of the twists with the melted butter and sprinkle with the panko breadcrumbs.

6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the twists are golden brown. Serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, try adding a sprinkle of paprika or cayenne pepper to the breadcrumb topping. You can also experiment with different cheese varieties, such as pepper jack or Monterey jack. These twists are best served immediately, but they can be reheated in the oven for a few minutes if needed.
