Ingredients

– 6 cups beef broth

– 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced

– 2 cups thinly sliced radish

– 1 cup sliced green onions

– 3 cloves garlic, minced

– 2 tablespoons soy sauce

– 1 tablespoon brown sugar

– 1 teaspoon sesame oil

– 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

– 2 cups cooked white rice, for serving (optional)

Instructions

1. In a large pot, bring the beef broth to a boil over high heat.

2. Add the sliced beef, radish, green onions, and garlic. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the beef is cooked through and the vegetables are tender.

3. Stir in the soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and black pepper. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.

4. Serve the Korean Winter Soup hot, with cooked white rice on the side if desired.

Notes

– For a heartier meal, you can add cooked rice noodles or glass noodles to the soup.

– Garnish with additional green onions, toasted sesame seeds, or a drizzle of sesame oil for extra flavor.

– This soup can be made ahead and refrigerated for up to 3 days. Reheat gently before serving.
