Description
Tender, caramelized oven roasted garlic cabbage steaks are a delicious, healthy-ish side dish that pairs perfectly with any main course. These easy-to-make, low-carb cabbage steaks are seasoned with garlic, olive oil, and herbs for maximum flavor.
Ingredients
– 1 medium head green cabbage, cut into 1-inch thick slices
– 3 tablespoons olive oil
– 3 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
– 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
1. – Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. – Place the cabbage slices on the prepared baking sheet. Brush both sides of the cabbage steaks with olive oil and sprinkle with minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
3. – Roast for 15-20 minutes, flipping the steaks halfway through, until the cabbage is tender and the edges are crispy and caramelized.
4. – Remove from oven and garnish with fresh parsley, if desired. Serve hot.
Notes
– For extra flavor, try adding a pinch of smoked paprika or cayenne pepper to the seasoning.
– Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days and reheated in the oven or air fryer.
