Description

Peanut Butter Blossoms are a classic holiday cookie that combines the rich, creamy flavor of peanut butter with the festive touch of a Hershey’s Kiss. These easy-to-make treats are perfect for sharing with friends and family during the holiday season.


Ingredients

– 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened

– 1 cup creamy peanut butter

– 1 cup granulated sugar, plus more for rolling

– 1 cup light brown sugar

– 2 large eggs

– 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

– 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

– 1 teaspoon baking soda

– 1/2 teaspoon salt

– 48 Hershey’s Kisses, unwrapped


Instructions

1. 1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

2. 2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

3. 3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.

4. 4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.

5. 5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

6. 6. Scoop the dough by the tablespoonful and roll into balls. Roll the dough balls in the additional granulated sugar to coat.

7. 7. Place the dough balls about 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheets.

8. 8. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the cookies are lightly golden and set.

9. 9. Immediately press a Hershey’s Kiss into the center of each cookie.

10. 10. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Store the cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week. You can also freeze the dough balls or baked cookies for longer storage.
