Description

Pork and chive potstickers with a crispy skirt are the perfect appetizer or main dish. Juicy pork filling wrapped in a delicate wonton wrapper, pan-fried to achieve a golden-brown, crispy exterior.

Ingredients

– 1 pound ground pork

– 1 cup finely chopped chives

– 2 tablespoons soy sauce

– 1 tablespoon sesame oil

– 1 tablespoon minced ginger

– 1/4 teaspoon white pepper

– 1 package wonton wrappers

– 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions

1. In a bowl, combine the ground pork, chives, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, and white pepper. Mix well until fully incorporated.

2. Place a wonton wrapper on a clean surface. Scoop about 1-2 tablespoons of the pork mixture into the center of the wrapper.

3. Wet the edges of the wonton wrapper with water, then fold the wrapper in half to create a half-moon shape. Pinch the edges to seal.

4. Heat the vegetable oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.

5. Working in batches, carefully place the potstickers in the hot oil and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until the bottoms are golden-brown and crispy.

6. Serve the pork and chive potstickers hot, with a dipping sauce of your choice.

Notes

For extra crispy potstickers, cover the skillet with a lid during the last minute of cooking to steam the tops. Dipping sauces like soy sauce, chili oil, or rice vinegar pair perfectly.
