Ingredients

– 1 cup all-purpose flour

– 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

– 1 teaspoon baking powder

– 1/4 teaspoon salt

– 8 ounces cream cheese, softened

– 1/2 cup granulated sugar

– 1 egg

– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

– 1 cup granulated sugar

– 2 eggs

– 1 tablespoon red food coloring

– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking pan.

2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

3. In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese and 1/2 cup of sugar until smooth and creamy.

4. In another bowl, mix the melted butter, 1 cup of sugar, 2 eggs, food coloring, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla until well combined.

5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

6. Spread half of the red velvet batter into the prepared baking pan. Dollop the cheesecake mixture on top and gently swirl it into the batter using a knife or toothpick.

7. Spread the remaining red velvet batter over the cheesecake layer.

8. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

9. Allow the brownies to cool completely before cutting and serving.
