Description

Indulge in the rich, creamy, and perfectly sweetened delight of authentic Royal Milk Tea, a beloved Taiwanese beverage that can be enjoyed anytime, anywhere.


Ingredients

– 2 teaspoons loose-leaf black tea or 2 black tea bags

– 2 cups whole milk

– 2 tablespoons white sugar

– 1/4 cup tapioca pearls (optional)


Instructions

1. Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a small saucepan.

2. Add the black tea leaves or tea bags and let steep for 5 minutes.

3. Remove the tea leaves or bags and stir in the sugar until dissolved.

4. Add the whole milk and heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until it reaches your desired temperature, about 5 minutes.

5. If using tapioca pearls, cook them according to package instructions and add them to the warm milk tea.

6. Pour the royal milk tea into mugs or glasses and enjoy immediately.

Notes

For a thicker, creamier texture, you can use half-and-half or a combination of milk and cream. Adjust the sugar to your taste preference. The tapioca pearls can be substituted with boba or omitted entirely.
