Ingredients
– 1 pound salmon fillets, skin removed and finely chopped
– 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
– 1/2 cup sesame seeds
– 2 large eggs, beaten
– 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
– 1 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1 teaspoon onion powder
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
– 2 tablespoons olive oil for frying
Instructions
1. In a large bowl, combine the chopped salmon, panko breadcrumbs, sesame seeds, beaten eggs, flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly distributed.
2. Form the mixture into 8 equal-sized patties, about 1/2 inch thick.
3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
4. Carefully add the salmon patties to the hot oil and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.
5. Drain the cooked patties on a paper towel-lined plate.
6. Serve the sesame crusted salmon patties immediately, garnished with lemon wedges and your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
For a healthier option, bake the patties at 400°F for 12-15 minutes instead of frying. The patties can also be made in advance and refrigerated until ready to cook.
