Description

Indulge in the rich, gooey goodness of Shadow Dark Chocolate Lava Cakes – a decadent 30-minute dessert that’s sure to impress.

Ingredients

– 6 ounces dark chocolate, chopped

– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

– 3 large eggs

– 1/2 cup granulated sugar

– 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

– 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 450°F. Grease 4 (6-ounce) ramekins with butter and dust with cocoa powder.

2. In a double boiler or microwave, melt the chopped dark chocolate and butter, stirring until smooth. Set aside to cool slightly.

3. In a medium bowl, whisk the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

4. Gently fold the chocolate mixture into the egg mixture until just combined. Sift in the flour and cocoa powder, and fold until no dry pockets remain.

5. Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins. Bake for 8-10 minutes, until the edges are set but the centers are still soft and molten.

6. Carefully invert the ramekins onto plates and serve immediately, garnished with a dusting of cocoa powder or powdered sugar, if desired.

Notes

For best results, use high-quality dark chocolate with a cocoa content of 70% or higher. Serve these lava cakes immediately for the perfect molten center.
