Description

Indulge in the rich, creamy, and subtly spicy flavors of this decadent Spicy Mexican Chocolate Silk Pie. The unique blend of dark chocolate, cinnamon, and chili powder creates a truly unique and comforting dessert.

Ingredients

– 12 ounces dark chocolate, chopped

– 1 cup heavy cream

– 1/2 cup granulated sugar

– 3 large eggs

– 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

– 1/2 teaspoon chili powder

– 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 9-inch pie dish and set aside.

2. In a large microwave-safe bowl, melt the chopped dark chocolate in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth. Set aside to cool slightly.

3. In a large bowl, beat the heavy cream with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form. Gradually add the sugar and continue beating until well combined.

4. In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs together. Slowly pour the eggs into the melted chocolate, whisking constantly to prevent the eggs from scrambling.

5. Fold the whipped cream into the chocolate-egg mixture until well combined. Stir in the cinnamon, chili powder, and salt.

6. Pour the filling into the prepared pie dish and smooth the top.

7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly.

8. Allow the pie to cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

For an extra kick of spice, increase the chili powder to 1 teaspoon. You can also garnish the pie with a dusting of cocoa powder or a sprinkle of cinnamon.
