Description

These Spicy Tuna Sesame Miso Cones are a mouthwatering appetizer that combines bold flavors and satisfying textures. The crisp wonton shell, fresh tuna tartare, and creamy sesame miso sauce create a truly indulgent experience.


Ingredients

– 8 ounces sushi-grade tuna, finely diced

– 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds

– 2 tablespoons white miso paste

– 1 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce

– 1 teaspoon sesame oil

– 1 teaspoon rice vinegar

– 1/2 teaspoon sriracha or other hot sauce

– 24 wonton wrappers

– 2 tablespoons chopped scallions, for garnish


Instructions

1. In a medium bowl, combine the diced tuna, sesame seeds, miso paste, soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and sriracha. Mix well and set aside.

2. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

3. Lightly spray a 24-cup mini muffin tin with nonstick cooking spray.

4. Gently press the wonton wrappers into the muffin cups, forming small cones.

5. Bake the wonton cones for 5-7 minutes, or until lightly golden and crisp.

6. Remove the wonton cones from the oven and let them cool slightly.

7. Spoon the spicy tuna mixture into the wonton cones, dividing it evenly.

8. Drizzle the tops of the filled cones with any remaining tuna marinade.

9. Garnish the Spicy Tuna Sesame Miso Cones with chopped scallions.

10. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

These cones can be made in advance and stored in an airtight container for up to 24 hours before serving. The tuna mixture can also be made ahead of time and refrigerated until ready to assemble.
