Description

Indulge in the ultimate Strawberry Shortcake Crumble Bars, a quick and easy dessert that’s perfect for any occasion. Buttery crumble and juicy berries in every bite!

Ingredients

– 2 cups all-purpose flour

– 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

– 3/4 cup granulated sugar

– 1 teaspoon baking powder

– 1/4 teaspoon salt

– 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced

– 1/4 cup brown sugar

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease an 8×8 inch baking pan.

2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, 1/2 cup of the granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the softened butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

3. Press half of the crumb mixture into the prepared baking pan, creating an even layer.

4. Arrange the sliced strawberries over the crumb base in an even layer.

5. In a small bowl, mix the remaining 1/4 cup granulated sugar and the brown sugar. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the strawberries.

6. Crumble the remaining crumb mixture over the top of the strawberries.

7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.

8. Allow the bars to cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

For a creamier texture, serve the Strawberry Shortcake Crumble Bars with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream. You can also experiment with different types of berries, such as raspberries or blueberries, in place of the strawberries.
