Description
Crispy, smoky bacon-wrapped onion rings brushed with a sweet and spicy maple-sriracha glaze. Perfect as an appetizer, snack, or crowd-pleasing party bite.
Ingredients
- 1 large onion, cut into thick rings
- 12 strips bacon
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1 tbsp sriracha sauce (adjust to taste)
- Salt, to taste
- Toothpicks (for securing)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil and place a wire rack on top if available (for extra crispiness).
- Wrap the onion rings:
Carefully separate the onion slices into rings. Wrap each onion ring with a strip of bacon, overlapping slightly. Secure the ends with a toothpick.
- Make the glaze:
In a small bowl, mix the maple syrup, sriracha sauce, and a pinch of salt. Brush the mixture generously over each bacon-wrapped onion ring.
- Bake:
Arrange the wrapped rings on the prepared rack or baking sheet. Bake for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the bacon is crisp and caramelized.
- Serve:
Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy as-is or with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- For extra spice, add a pinch of cayenne to the glaze.
- Smaller onion rings may require half strips of bacon.
