Ingredients

– 2 cups all-purpose flour

– 1 teaspoon baking powder

– 3/4 cup granulated sugar

– 1 large egg

Instructions

1. – Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

2. – In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.

3. – In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.

4. – Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.

5. – Scoop dough by the tablespoonful and place them 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheets.

6. – Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Allow to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
