Description
This Award-Winning Thanksgiving Cranberry Sauce is a must-have side dish for your holiday feast. Made with fresh cranberries, orange juice, and a touch of sweetness, it’s the perfect balance of tart and sweet.
Ingredients
– 12 oz fresh cranberries
– 1 cup orange juice
– 1/2 cup granulated sugar
– 1 tsp orange zest
– 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
1. – In a medium saucepan, combine the cranberries, orange juice, sugar, and orange zest.
2. – Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally.
3. – Reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the cranberries have burst and the sauce has thickened.
4. – Remove from heat and stir in the ground cinnamon.
5. – Allow the cranberry sauce to cool completely before serving.
Notes
– For a smoother texture, use an immersion blender to puree the sauce after it has cooled.
– This cranberry sauce can be made up to 5 days in advance and stored in the refrigerator.
