Ingredients
– 6 cups peeled and sliced apples
– 1/2 cup brown sugar
– 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
– 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
– 1 cup rolled oats
– 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
– 1/2 cup vegan butter, cubed
– 1/3 cup brown sugar
Instructions
1. 1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. 2. In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples, 1/2 cup brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Toss to coat the apples.
3. 3. In a separate bowl, mix together the rolled oats, flour, vegan butter, and 1/3 cup brown sugar until crumbly.
4. 4. Transfer the apple mixture to a 9-inch baking dish. Sprinkle the oat topping evenly over the apples.
5. 5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender.

Notes
For a more tart flavor, use a mix of sweet and tart apples. You can also add a tablespoon of lemon juice to the apple mixture. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
