Description

This easy, homemade Apple Crisp recipe is the ultimate comfort food dessert. Warm, cinnamon-spiced apples are topped with a buttery, crunchy crumble topping for a delicious autumn treat.

Ingredients

– 6 cups peeled, sliced Granny Smith apples

– 1/2 cup granulated sugar

– 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

– 1 cup all-purpose flour

– 1 cup old-fashioned oats

– 3/4 cup brown sugar

– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

– 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

1. – Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

2. – In a large bowl, toss the sliced apples with granulated sugar and cinnamon until well coated.

3. – In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, oats, brown sugar, melted butter, and salt until a crumbly topping forms.

4. – Spread the apple mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle the crumble topping over the apples.

5. – Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the topping is golden brown.

6. – Serve warm, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a drizzle of caramel sauce, if desired.

Notes

For a firmer texture, use a mix of Granny Smith and Honeycrisp apples. Vary the spices by adding a pinch of nutmeg or ginger. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
