Description

These soft, chewy homemade gummy bears are a delightful treat that’s easy to make at home with just a few simple ingredients. Customize the flavors and colors to suit your taste!

Ingredients

– 3 packets (21g) unflavored gelatin

– 1 cup cold water

– 1 cup granulated sugar

– 1/2 cup light corn syrup

– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

– Liquid food coloring (optional)

Instructions

1. Lightly grease a gummy bear mold or silicone mold and set aside.

2. In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin over the cold water and let sit for 5 minutes to bloom.

3. In a small saucepan, combine the sugar and corn syrup with 1/2 cup of water. Heat over medium, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture comes to a boil.

4. Remove the saucepan from heat and carefully pour the hot sugar mixture into the bloomed gelatin. Stir to combine.

5. If using food coloring, divide the gummy mixture into separate bowls and stir in desired food coloring.

6. Carefully pour the gummy mixture into the prepared molds, filling each cavity about 3/4 full.

7. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until completely set.

8. Gently remove the gummies from the molds and enjoy!

Notes

Store the homemade gummy bears in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
